While there is no USSF and/or FIFA directive regarding referees wearing any head covering, USSF in consultation with medical and referee experts, issued the following recommendations for those who are concerned with their health.
Cal South State Referee Committee will follow the USSF recommendations for all its affiliated games. If a referee is concerned with his health and/or wants to wear a cap, he/she will be expected to follow the recommendations as stated in the last three bullet points below.
